Carolina families-
The message below was sent to UNC staff/faculty notifying folks of a change in the class drop and pass/fail decisions deadlines. This is to recognize the difficulties at the start of the semester and provide more flexibility for students.
********************************
Dear colleagues,
In recognition of the challenging start to the semester for our students, with the two campus lockdowns resulting in cancellations of classes and disruptions to everyone’s syllabi, the Provost’s Office has notified all undergraduate students that we are extending the deadlines for class drop and pass/fail decisions from Friday, October 13, to Friday, October 27.
This is a gentle reminder that to help students with their pass/fail decisions, it is important to keep your grading records up to date and to return assignments and exam grades to them in a timely manner.
I appreciate your flexibility in these matters, and you have my gratitude for all you have done to support our students. It’s been a difficult semester for you as well.
Sincerely,
Jim
