On behalf of the Carolina Parents Council, we are excited to announce that applications for the 2026 Grant Awards Program open Monday, November 3 at Noon! 

What is the Carolina Parents Council Grant Award Program? 

Each year, the Carolina Parents Council Grant Awards Program provides funding to UNC student organizations and departments to support new and innovative programs that benefit undergraduate students. Awards are funded by Council members, who make a minimum $1,250 gift annually to support this initiative. Since its inception in 1985, this program has provided close to $2 million in grant funding to enhance the quality of undergraduate student life and learning at Carolina. In 2025, awards ranged from $600 - $7,000.

What is the Carolina Parents Council? 

The Carolina Parents Council is a volunteer, membership-based group, representing the needs of undergraduate students and families. The Council encourages interaction between family members and the University by supporting programs offered by New Student and Family Programs and Student Affairs
